The Pedestrians is an imaginary indie band that the same members of my final year project team made up. This imagination is the backbone for the group project of Popular Music. Knowing that my friends don't film, I helped them with my first try on filming with iPhone. Being the director, cameraman, and editor for this film, I was originally not involved in story outlining and writing. It was the time limit and environmental limit such as weather, lack of desired locations, and insufficient actors that led me to help them alter the plot to make better use of resources. We managed to finish taking all shots in an afternoon despite some unsatisfactory ones. Apart from filming, I also helped record an original soundtrack to meet the project requirement. We didn't expect a spectacular result since we didn't have professional gear. The result surprised us all and we were happy about having our own song that didn't disappoint. Video-editing is tedious work especially when no one in my team knows it. They did help take up some of my work by marking keyframes, searching for appropriate video clips and incidental music, and suggesting ideas for editing the film. This film is by far my favourite one because of the joy I had with my team despite the tremendous work.
